Welcome.

My name is Elizabeth Bernier and I have been researching my family genealogy for a while now through Ancestry.com. As I have discovered Ancestry to be tricky for sharing and my parents are unreliable for conveying the information (or figuring out the login password), I have decided to put my research in a personal blog that can be reached easily by you all.

You are probably here to read up on our personal family history or doing your own family history that led you to my research. Therefore, I thought I should explain how I will be going about things on this blog.

Firstly, because my mom’s family genealogy is either 100% complete or impossible to even find one record on, I will only be posting information about my paternal side. This would include (but definitely not limited to) The Berniers, The Brattlunds, The Dutchers, The Gagebins, The Stewarts and The Williams. Information may be added or rescinded as I continue to research and will notify you all of any updates.

To Keep things simple and ordered, I will mostly be posting about people of whom I am a direct descendant of. If you are interested in someone or people who I haven’t mentioned, but are a part of the family, feel free to contact me for more information. In preparation for this site, I have tried to flesh out as much of my tree as possible, but I can’t guarantee I have all the information you are looking for if it was not a direct ancestor of mine.

I will be sharing information I have collected from records, but I will not be posting any pictures of them as I’m not exactly sure how legal it is to do so. I will try and reference what record information came from so that you can go out and find it yourself if you are interested. I will only be posting pictures and documents I know for sure my family owns. This is a for fun, non-profit blog, but I’m not taking any chances.

As this is a public site, I will be sharing very little/if any information on people who are actually living at this time for obvious privacy reasons (and I’m not stupid).
